2021 : E-Magazine (GEOSpectrum)
Department of Geography published (04/10/2021) e-magazine “GEOSpectrum” focusing on “COVID-19 and Environment”. Editors are Dr. Nafisa Banu and Deblina Ghosal.
2020 : Educational tour in Darjeeling
It is the charming hill station. The main objective of the tour was to study the diversity in topography, climate, socio economic conditions and culture and an overview of the impact of tourism on the economy of the study area.
2019 : Educational tour in Dooars
It is the gateway to the hill station of North Bengal and Bhutan. This area is famous for its tea garden, forests and the river Teesta. The region is also known for its wildlife sanctuaries. The main objectives of the study tour was to understand the physical environment influences the life of people, their culture and society, habitats and mode of occupation.
2018 : Educational tour in Kulik wildlife sanctuary, Raiganj
This area is famous for seasonal migratory birds like Asian open bill stork, Egrets, cormorants and others. The main objective of the visit was to study of birds migration and impact of traffic noise on birds habitats. Also the vegetation features and types were investigated in that study area.
