In 2019: Education Department had organized an ‘Educational Tour’ for third year Honours student as par the requirement of the syllabus of the University on 10th December, 2019 at Gour & Adina (Maldah). The selection of the topic and the study area is purely based on contemporary issues to enrich not only the theoretical but also the practical knowledge of the student about the subject matter.
In 2020: During the devastating attack of Covid-19 pandemic an ‘Online Quiz Programme’ was organized for creating awareness on ‘Education as a Fundamental Right’ by Education Department from 23rd June to 27th June, 2020 by involving total 791 participants from different states of India and abroad also.
In 2020: Dipak Bhattacharya, Assistant Professor and Head of Education Department of Dukhulal Nibaran Chandra College, Murshidabad was invited in a special lecture on ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan: Features and Strategies’ on 1st June, 2020 by Government Elementary Teacher Education Institute, Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha.
In 2020: During Covid-19 pandemic period a ‘One Day State Level Webinar’ in the topic of ‘NEP 2020: Some Issues’ was organized by Education Department on 13th September, 2020 involving total 84 participants. Dr. Khagendranath Chattopadhyay, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Education, Burdwan University was the Resource Person in the Webinar.
